Job Description FTI - Florida Training & Investigations LLC is hiring Flex Security Officers to support open shifts, call-out coverage, weekend coverage, holiday coverage, and operational needs in the Four Corners / Davenport area . This position is ideal for reliable candidates who are looking for flexible part-time hours, additional income, and the opportunity to grow with the company based on attendance, performance, availability, professionalism, and reliability. This is not a guaranteed fixed-location position unless stated in writing by management. Flex Security Officers may be offered shifts at different company/client locations based on operational needs, employee availability, post knowledge, distance from the assigned worksite, and company needs. Onboarding, paperwork, and uniform pickup may be completed at our main office in Kissimmee, FL 34744 . Position Overview Flex Security Officers help the company maintain proper coverage when open shifts become available due to call-outs, vacations, schedule gaps, new contracts, special events, increased operational needs, or additional client coverage requirements. Officers who demonstrate strong attendance, communication, professionalism, availability, and reliability may be considered for additional hours, preferred open shifts, and possible future full-time placement based on company needs. Basic Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a working phone and respond to company communication. Must be able to work in the Four Corners / Davenport area. Must be open to working at different assigned locations. Must be available for open shifts based on company needs. Weekend availability is strongly preferred. Holiday availability is strongly preferred. Must be punctual, dependable, and professional. Must be able to follow post orders and company policies. Must be able to complete company onboarding requirements. Florida Class D Security Officer License preferred or required based on assignment. Preferred Qualifications Prior security experience. Experience in access control, gates, resorts, patrol, residential communities, hotels, or customer-facing security posts. Availability for weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, or short-notice open shifts. Ability to work independently while following chain of command. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Willingness to learn different posts and locations. Ability to remain calm, professional, and respectful when dealing with residents, guests, clients, coworkers, or visitors. Key Responsibilities Cover open shifts at assigned company/client locations. Report to assigned posts on time and ready to work. Follow post orders, client instructions, and company procedures. Monitor access points, patrol assigned areas, and report suspicious activity. Remain alert, visible, and professional while on duty. Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation. Communicate immediately with supervisors regarding incidents, emergencies, call-outs, post issues, or client concerns. Use proper chain of command for workplace concerns, scheduling issues, disciplinary matters, payroll concerns, or internal company matters. Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations, client information, schedules, incidents, employee matters, and post-related information. Clock in and out accurately using the company-approved timekeeping system. Avoid unauthorized overtime unless approved by management. Scheduling Expectations This position is designed for candidates who are open to part-time, flex, floater, or relief coverage work . Flex Security Officers are not guaranteed a fixed schedule, fixed post, fixed number of hours, or one permanent location unless stated in writing by management. Open shifts may be offered based on: Availability Reliability Attendance Location distance Transportation Post knowledge Professionalism Supervisor feedback Client needs Company needs Important Expectations If you accept a shift, you are expected to report as scheduled. Repeated lateness, failure to communicate, refusal of accepted shifts, or last-minute call-outs may affect future scheduling. No-call/no-show may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Officers must communicate through the proper chain of command. Officers must not contact clients, residents, Board Members, vendors, property staff, or third parties regarding internal employment matters unless specifically authorized by management. Officers must maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. Officers must protect confidential company, client, resident, guest, employee, and operational information.
