Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and implement security protocols across our maritime manufacturing facility. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety and security of personnel, sensitive information, and proprietary assets while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Your leadership will help foster a secure environment that supports our commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive security policies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements such as DOD regulations. Manage access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry at all times. Identify vulnerabilities or breaches. NISP Secret Clearance Knowledge in government contracts (DOD) Oversee the training of staff on security protocols, emergency response procedures, and compliance standards related to research activities. Maintain detailed records of security incidents, access logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to regulations governing manufacturing controls, and quality assurance processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in industrial Security Management, Maritime, Manufacturing or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus. Proven experience in security management within a regulated environment such as maritime manufacturing. Strong understanding of NISP and Secret Clearance regulations, and compliance management practices. Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple security initiatives simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to develop effective security strategies that support operational goals while ensuring regulatory compliance. Exceptional communication skills for training staff and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies.
