Join Our Team and Help Create a Safe Environment Where Students Thrive South Prep Scholars Academy is seeking a dependable, professional, and student-centered Security Monitor to join our team. The Security Monitor plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment for our students, staff, families, and visitors. If you enjoy working with children, building positive relationships, and helping create a culture of respect and accountability, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Monitor school entrances, exits, hallways, common areas, and campus grounds. Ensure a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Assist with student arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transition periods. Enforce school safety procedures and student code of conduct in a respectful and consistent manner. Monitor visitor access and assist with campus security protocols. Respond appropriately to incidents and report concerns to school administration. Assist during emergency drills and follow all emergency response procedures. Build positive relationships with students while serving as a visible and supportive presence on campus. Perform other duties related to campus safety as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in school security, law enforcement, military, security services, youth development, or a related field preferred. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, and families. Must successfully pass all required background screenings. Preferred Qualities Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Excellent observational skills and sound judgment.
