Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and vigilant Access Control Officer to oversee entry and exit points during specific shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This role involves managing access permissions, monitoring surveillance systems, and ensuring the safety of the premises through diligent security practices. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure environment through effective access control procedures. Duties Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established protocols Monitor CCTV surveillance footage to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Conduct thorough identification checks and verify credentials at entry points Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed Maintain accurate logs of all entries, exits, incidents, and surveillance activities Perform routine inspections of access points and surrounding areas to ensure operational integrity Enforce loss prevention measures by observing for theft or unauthorized access Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control technologies Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining high attention to detail Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with emergency services Join us at Ramco Protective to be part of a dependable team dedicated to safeguarding assets through vigilant access control.
