Duties Help You will serve as the senior member of the entry control/vehicle inspection team which conducts prive and commercial vehicle inspections. You will control access and departures of vehicles and pedestrians in controlled areas to prevent unauthorized access. You will direct vehicles and pedestrian traffic during periods of emergency or increased traffic. You will furnish technical direction to an entry control team to properly perform vehicle inspections. You will inspect prive and commercial vehicles to determine if safe to enter installion. You will assist personnel during an emergency situion (e.g., accidents, drills, fire, nural disasters, motor vehicle or industrial accidents, political demonstrions, hostage or terrorist situions) to protect the safety of life and property. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Required to receive training on the use of oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray (pepper spray) in a controlled training environment, to include the experience of receiving the spray to the facial area. Incumbent must pass all weapons qualificions prior to assigned duties and responsibilities and must pass re-qualificions as required. GS-05: Your resume must demonstre least one year of Specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the prive or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstre the following: 1) Physically examining identificion for access to restricted areas; 2) Assisting with reguling pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operions; 3) Monitoring personnel access into restricted areas; and 4) Performing prive and commercial vehicle inspections. GS-04 : Your resume must demonstre least six months of general experience performing administrive, technical, clerical, military, or other work th involved following written procedures, rules, or regulions in contacts with coworkers, supervisors, or members of the public to provide a service, respond to inquiries, or obtain informion, AND I have six months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-03) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the prive or public sector th involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Such experience must have provided knowledge of protective systems and techniques.
