Job Description
Job Summary The Security Officer is responsible for overseeing sacross the Waterman Village campus to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role provides day‑to‑day for the security function, ensures consistent implementation of policies and procedures, and serves with te security Manageras a key partner in emergency preparedness and resident relations. Duties Security Campus Safety
- Oversee daily security operations for the entire Waterman Village campus, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, the health center, and common areas.
- Patrol routines, and incident response practices that balance safety with resident independence
- Professional, resident‑centered customer service and respond calmly and respectfully, especially in sensitive situations. Emergency Preparedness
- Serve as an operational during security‑related incidents, coordinating communication with internal leadership and external responders as directed.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation of security incidents, near misses, and unusual occurrences, and maintain organized incident logs and reports. Resident & Family Relations
- Act as a visible, approachable point of contact for Waterman Village residents and families regarding security concerns, parking issues, noise, and general campus safety.
- Requirements Proven
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with older adults, families, and staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies or high‑stress situations.
- Basic computer skills (email, incident reporting systems)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to walk the Waterman Village campus, climb stairs, and perform rounds indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond rapidly to emergency situations anywhere on campus.
- Must pass background checks, drug screening, and any additional security clearances required by Waterman Village policies or state regulations.
Pay:
