Job Description:
Campus Safety Specialists are directly accountable to the Associate Director, Public Safety for the following duties and responsibilities: The individual who fills this position is expected to observe and report any safety or security concerns on the Northwest Florida State College Campus. Campus Safety Specialist for Northwest Florida State College will work to ensure the campus is safe and secure. The primary working hours for this position will be nights and weekends. However, this schedule will vary depending upon the operating hours of the college. Shifts will usually be 4-12 hours in length.
Duties include:
Patrol Campus buildings and grounds Provide courtesy escorts on campus Observe and report any suspicious activity Lock and unlock doors Check campus security Report observed safety hazards Provide general information to visitors on campus Maintain a security log Follow established guidelines Provide security support for campus events as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of safety and security Ability to conduct walking patrols Ability to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, overnight etc Physically qualified and able perform job duties Valid Florida Driver License required
