Job Duties Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large must be able to fire a weapon accurately must be able to defend himself/herself and others with and without the use of deadly force promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students participate on University committees in the absences of the chief maintain knowledge and compliance with faculty/staff policy manual, Security SOP, student handbook, and other policy manuals conduct regular security rounds of all property maintain security of all keys and key access sufficiently complete new employee training research, report crime and incidents responsible for submitting in the RMS system the tracking, and reporting of crimes and incident statistics address policy violations when observed report all maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity reporting conduct traffic safety, issue traffic and parking citations must have ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations and to determine proper course of action maintain Emergency Response certification complete daily activity reports, incidents reports, consult and understand pass-on book information since the individual s last shift maintain officer code of conduct in accordance with Faculty/Staff Policy Manual expectations completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University programs, both on campus and at the extended sites maintain and display a high degree of professionalism in appearance and in the performance of all regular duties must exert themselves physically for short periods of time, such as running and lifting maintain yearly Security recertification through the State operates and maintains enforcement equipment perform other duties as assigned.
