Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer Class D to uphold safety and security within our dealerships. This role involves monitoring premises, managing access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe atmosphere through active surveillance and conflict management. As a vital part of our security team, you will play a key role in preventing loss, responding to emergencies, and supporting overall safety initiatives. Duties Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Protects high value vehicles from theft, vandalism, and damage, particularly during after hours. Conduct routine patrols of the premises to ensure safety protocols are followed and identify potential hazards or unauthorized presence Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action including contacting law enforcement or emergency services when necessary Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques to maintain order and safety Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accurately Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and access records for accountability and reporting purposesRequirements Valid Class D security license or certification as required by local regulations Experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent observation skills with attention to detail and situational awareness.
