PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections environment. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and movement throughout the location, verify credentials when required, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related issues, visitor activity, and/or procedural concerns. Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing routine reports, and following post orders, policies, and directions related to a controlled government facility.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
