• Director of Security Essential Job Functions Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.

Support security operations through deterring losses attributed to external and internal theft via observation, suppression, and contact law enforcement when required. Maintain both written and verbal communications with the Director of Security and supervise other security staff members. Recommend hiring and disciplinary actions, conduct employee evaluations and delegate work assignments. Confirm presence and activities of scheduled security officers. Identify and notify replacement personnel to assume vacant security officer assignments. Review documentation, activity and security officer reports. Provide officer back-up when investigating irregularities. Respond to alarm notifications. Submit periodic reports to management regarding activities, irregularities, and identify needed action. Work outside scheduled hours to ensure consistent coverage, attends training classes, meetings, and other activities as needed to meet the business needs of the security department. Assume on-call duty as assigned, responding to security needs and reporting to duty as necessary. Assist with evacuation/emergency training and processes. Apply basic addition, multiplication, and division skills daily. Obtain valid CPR and First Aid certifications. Position Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of security experience or 2+ years military experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Work Environment and Context Occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
