(GUARDIAN) Eagle Globe Protective Services Inc - 4.3 Saint Lucie, FL Job Details Full-time $24 - $26 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Class G Security Firearms License High school diploma or GED Class D Security Class D Basic firearms training Concealed Carry Permit Full Job Description Description Position Overview Eagle Globe Protective Services (EGPS) is actively hiring Guardian Certified Safe School Officers to support school safety operations across assigned campuses. This role is focused on visible deterrence, rapid response, and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff . We are looking for professionals who bring discipline, awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility to the position. About Us At EGPS, we specialize in providing professional, armed security with a strong focus on school safety across Florida . Our team is made up of highly trained, licensed officers , and while many come from law enforcement and military backgrounds , we also develop qualified individuals who meet our standards and are committed to the role. We take a hands-on approach — we're not just filling posts, we're building a reliable, disciplined presence on every campus we serve . Our officers are trained in active threat response, firearms proficiency, de-escalation, and emergency readiness , ensuring they are prepared for real-world situations. We focus on consistency, accountability, and being ready when it matters most Pay & Compensation $24/hour starting rate 90-day probationary period $26/hour after successful completion of probation Pay may vary based on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications (final rate determined by hiring manager) Key Responsibilities Maintain a visible security presence on assigned campus Conduct daily exterior security checks and safety assessments Respond to immediate threats or incidents Submit daily reports and risk assessments Coordinate with: School administration Local law enforcement EGPS leadership What We're Looking For Strong situational awareness and decision-making Ability to remain calm under pressure Professional appearance and command presence Reliable, punctual, and accountable Ability to balance authority with approachability in a school environment Requirements Mandatory Requirements Guardian Certification (State of Florida) - REQUIRED (Can be acquired through academy; additional information provided during interview) Active Florida Class D & G License (must be current) Must have valid CCW (Concealed Carry License) Must own and carry a personal duty firearm : Glock 19, Glock 17, or Glock 45 (any of these models, versions, or generation) Clean background (able to pass screening) Must pass drug screening and psychological evaluation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent Completion of all required Safe School Officer (SSO) training Experience Requirements Law enforcement and/or military experience (preferred, not required) Prior armed security or school security experience is a plus Candidates without LEO/military background must demonstrate strong discipline, reliability, and ability to perform in a high-responsibility environment Core Qualifications Strong situational awareness and ability to respond quickly in emergencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure Compliance & State Reporting Requirements (Florida) All Safe School Officers must comply with Florida law and EGPS reporting standards: EGPS is required to notify the County Sheriff's Office and the Office of Safe Schools within 72 hours if: An SSO is dismissed for misconduct or formally disciplined An SSO discharges a firearm in the line of duty (excluding training) Must adhere to all state and federal firearm laws , including age-related requirements (Minimum age of 21 years preferred in alignment with firearm regulations) Professional Standard The ideal candidate is vigilant, disciplined, and professional , with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and secure school environment at all times.
