Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer specializing in jewelry protection to safeguard valuable assets and ensure a secure environment within our retail or storage facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor, prevent theft, and respond swiftly to security incidents involving jewelry items. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security expertise in a high-value setting, ensuring the safety of both merchandise and personnel through proactive surveillance and effective conflict management. Your commitment will help maintain a trusted shopping experience and protect our valuable inventory. Duties Monitor jewelry displays, storage areas, and entrances using CCTV systems and physical patrols to detect suspicious activity Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including safes, display cases, and access points, to prevent theft or tampering Respond promptly to security breaches or alarms, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary Maintain detailed incident reports, surveillance logs, and loss prevention documentation for all security-related activities Enforce store policies and procedures related to jewelry handling, access control, and visitor management Conduct conflict management interventions calmly and professionally to de-escalate tense situations involving staff or customers Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras effectively to monitor high-value areas continuously Requirements Proven experience in security roles, preferably within retail or high-value asset environments such as jewelry stores or vaults Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable; additional training in law enforcement or military tactics is a plus Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure during incidents or emergencies Familiarity with security protocols related to jewelry protection, including access control and inventory safeguarding Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical fitness to perform patrols and inspections over extended periods Join us in protecting exquisite jewelry pieces while delivering exceptional security service!
