As a Screener at a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and belongings, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This role combines strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service while helping address security-related concerns. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions at a government location. Screen visitors, staff, and deliveries for authorized entry while following post orders, identification protocols, and other security-related policies. Monitor entry points and inspect bags, packages, and personal belongings for prohibited items in a calm, professional, and courteous manner. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations with a problem-solving approach, and report observations through required communication channels. Support orderly movement through screening areas by giving clear directions, assisting with visitor questions, and documenting security-related incidents and/or concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years security-related experience, or possess a college degree. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be 21+ years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
