About the
Role:
This position works on site and must live within commute distance of the work site. The Security Services position is critical in ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and assets within various environments across the United States. This role involves vigilant monitoring, risk assessment, and rapid response to potential security threats or incidents. The successful candidate will serve as a visible deterrent to unlawful activities while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor. They will collaborate closely with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal teams to uphold security protocols and emergency procedures. Ultimately, this role aims to create a secure environment that fosters peace of mind for clients, employees, and visitors alike.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Physical capability to perform patrol duties and respond to emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in security services or law enforcement. First aid and CPR certification. Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV systems and access control software. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Operate surveillance equipment and maintain detailed logs of daily activities and incidents. Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary. Enforce company policies and procedures related to access control, visitor management, and incident reporting. Provide assistance and guidance to employees, clients, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
Skills:
The required skills such as vigilance, attention to detail, and physical fitness are essential for conducting effective patrols and identifying potential security risks. Communication skills are used daily to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members, ensuring clear and calm exchanges during routine and emergency situations. Knowledge of security technology enables the candidate to monitor surveillance systems and manage access controls efficiently. Preferred skills like conflict resolution and first aid enhance the ability to handle incidents with care and professionalism, minimizing harm and de-escalating tense situations.
