Security Experience
What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related issues, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel for follow-up. Support access control and crowd management practices during business hours, peak shopping periods, and/or special events while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with customer inquiries.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required. A guard card and/or license is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
