Security Officer

• through the end of the year with strong possible of 12 mth extension 1351 Maunaloa Hwy Kaunakakai, HI 96748
• Candidates must be flexible as there are 3 different shifts, and scheduling is based on business needs. This is a 24-hour security operations.
• First shift
• 7am-3:30pm
• Second Shift
• 3pm-11:30pm
• Third Shift
• 11:30pm-8am 8-12 hours / : 40 with possibility of OT 4-6+ years of Experience
• No weapons required Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in the field or in a related area.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to prepare clear, succinct, accurate, professional and timely written communications Experienced in basic computer skills Able to work rotating shifts and available for overtime and weekend shifts if needed The ability to work in excess of the normal eight hour day when necessary Periodically patrols buildings and grounds of industrial plants, commercial establishments, docks, logging camp areas, or work sites. Responsible for proactive safe guarding of site properties and for the proper handling of calls for security services. Security Officers may serve as liaison with police or other law enforcement agencies on mutual problems, respond to fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of employees in emergency situations. Security officers will prepare clear and accurate computer generated reports of incidents and other activities and ensure protection of employees, physical assets, intellectual properties and information assets. Performing patrol of site within geography of responsibility on roadways and parking lots Protecting sites from trespassers or illegal entry Protecting against damage or theft of company property Investigating and respond to calls for service Responding to intrusion and equipment alarms Conduct initial investigations of accidents, or crimes against company property or employees Fostering an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity and professionalism Preparing appropriate report documentation Ability to think independently, react to changing conditions and be able to make sound decisions based upon existing circumstances In the event of an emergency, maintaining order and the safety of employees and visitors
