Pay:

$25-$28/hour Job Summary BKI Services is seeking experienced and reliable Licensed Armed Protection Officers to protect designated people, property, and assets. Candidates must possess a valid Iowa Armed Security Guard License and demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience is preferred Qualifications - Licensed Armed Protection Officer Required Valid Iowa Armed Security Guard License High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Relevant firearms licensing and training Clear criminal record and ability to pass a background check No felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or any status prohibiting firearm possession Reliable transportation Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work nights, weekends, and in varying weather conditions Preferred Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience Current or former State of Iowa guard card holder At least one year of armed or unarmed security experience Responsibilities -

Armed Security Guard Asset & Guest Protection:

Patrol the venue, control facility access, monitor CCTV, and maintain a commanding presence to deter criminal activity, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.

Emergency Response & Weapon Readiness:

Defend guests and staff from physical threats using de-escalation tactics, exhausting non-violent options before utilizing and maintaining authorized, state-compliant firearms.

Compliance & Daily Operations:

Enforce company policies and state laws while managing guest logs, conducting safety escorts, checking security hardware, and maintaining a professional uniform.

Incident Documentation & Communication:
