POSITION SUMMARY

Assist with monitoring the safety and security of the school campus. Help facilitate safe traffic patterns both inside and outside of the school building.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED Previous experience and training with security and safety preferred Ability to work in a positive manner with students, staff and stakeholders Possess collaborative and interpersonal skills Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.

Personal Performance Criteria Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective communication with school personnel and students Contributes to creating a positive work environment Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality Arrives on time and works consistently until the end of his/her scheduled day Takes advantage of professional growth opportunities related to his/her specific job Works independently and with confidence Demonstrates ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations Demonstrates initiative and ability to work without close supervision Professional Performance Criteria Monitors parking lot and designated campus areas of the high school Monitors the location of students with passes from class and other locations Communicates with staff, parents, and administrators as needed about safety Monitors hallways and lunch room throughout the school day Assists with the JHS parking lot pass system Duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor may vary from time to time Assists School Resource Officer and Administrators with the implementation of school related safety measures Monitors and implements safety protocols Cultivates positive relationships with students and staff Provides a positive daily safety presence both in and around the school campus

Work Hours:

7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
