Sunstates Security is currently seeking experienced and dependable Full-Time and Part-Time Security Shift Supervisors to join our team at a client site in Aurora, IL. This role is ideal for a motivated security professional with strong leadership skills, hands-on technical experience, and the ability to manage daily site operations in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a pay rate of $19.50/hr - paid weekly. Position Summary The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily operation of the assigned site, including security operations, personnel supervision, customer service, safety compliance, and adherence to Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The supervisor must be able to act quickly and effectively in all situations while maintaining professionalism and strong communication. This role requires advanced knowledge and practical experience with modern security systems, including CCTV surveillance systems, access control platforms, and security-related technology tools used for monitoring, reporting, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of security officers on assigned shift Monitor and operate CCTV systems and review surveillance footage when required Manage and control access control systems , including badge issuance, entry permissions, and visitor logs Ensure compliance with Post Orders, SOPs, and client-specific security requirements Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances with sound judgment and professionalism Conduct thorough and accurate incident and daily activity reports Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to security personnel Deliver excellent customer service to client representatives, employees, and visitors Conduct patrols, inspections, and security checks of assigned areas Maintain situational awareness and make critical decisions under pressure
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of supervisor or shift lead experience Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred Hands-on experience with CCTV and access control systems required or strongly preferred Valid PERC Card required Strong understanding of security technology and ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional report writing and documentation skills Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Must be available to work weekends and varied shifts Reliable transportation required Preferred Skills Experience with integrated security management systems Strong leadership and team coordination abilities High level of professionalism and attention to detail If you are a proactive leader with strong technical security experience and the ability to manage a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply today.
