Saturdays & Sundays | 10:00 PM - 6:00

AM Hours:

16 hours per week About the Position Professional Security Consultants (PSC) is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Overnight Security Officer at Chicago Ridge Mall. This position is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused, observant, and thrive in a dynamic retail environment. Officers play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Deliver superior customer service while maintaining a friendly, approachable, and professional presence Monitor for irregularities, including security risks, safety hazards, and emergency situations Respond to incidents and contact emergency services (police, fire, EMS) when necessary Identify and address unauthorized individuals or violations of property policies Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the property Respond promptly to radio calls and on-site incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and accidents Document incidents and complete detailed, accurate reports Issue tenant and vehicle notifications for parking, lease line, and trash violations Communicate maintenance and safety concerns to dispatch Utilize mobile tour systems and complete assigned inspections Perform vehicle inspections if assigned to mobile patrol duties Qualifications & Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods Ability to observe and respond effectively during overnight operations Sound judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations Ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, and site-specific protocols CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed) Familiarity with handheld radios and communication devices Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to obtain a State of Illinois Guard Card (PERC) Clean driving record with the ability to provide a driving abstract Reliable, self-motivated, and professional demeanor Must report to work on time and in proper uniform Ability to follow post orders and participate in daily briefings Complete all required documentation and equipment sign-in/out procedures
