$19.50 per hour Position Overview We are seeking reliable, professional, and observant Unarmed Security Officers to provide outstanding security and customer service at a union office building complex in the Chicago suburban area. This position combines front desk concierge duties , building access control , and foot patrol responsibilities to maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for tenants, employees, and guests. As the first point of contact for many visitors, you will represent both the security team and the client organization — requiring a polished demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety. Primary Responsibilities Concierge & Front Desk Duties Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors. Maintain visitor logs and issue building access credentials as required. Handle deliveries, contractors, and guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Communicate effectively with property management and tenant representatives. Team & Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company and client standards. Interact respectfully with tenants, employees, and members of the public. Follow all post orders, company policies, and safety protocols. Participate in ongoing training and development as required by the company or union contract. Qualifications Must possess a valid Illinois PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) . Must have completed the 20-hour Illinois Unarmed Security Training Certificate . Minimum 1 year of prior security, concierge, or customer service experience preferred. Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening . Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills required. Ability to handle routine and emergency situations calmly and effectively. Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
