Job Description

Job description Cerasus is seeking the position of a Security Director The Security Director will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer. The Security Director will act as a liaison between customers, Cerasus Management and security officers. They will supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of verifiable supervisory and or leadership experience. Must meet at least the same minimum job qualifications as all security personnel assigned to the post location. Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws Display exceptional customer service and communication skills Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites. Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently Capable of scheduling subordinate officers effectively each week. Site Supervisor will be required to cover shifts within reason if needed. Site Supervisor will be required to handle all immediate call-offs from employees under their supervision. Cerasus management will be available to support if additional resources are needed. Communicates staffing needs to Cerasus Management which may include assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates. Assures that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.) Assures that employee grievances are heard with help from appropriate Cerasus HR Department Able to: Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Do you have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, or military? Do you have experience working in a Class A commercial office or high-rise environment? Do you have at least one year of experience using computer-based systems for reporting, scheduling, or operations (TrackTik, Silvertrac, or similar) and creating documents such as SOPs, post orders, or memos in Microsoft Word? What is the largest team you have directly supervised, and for how long? What is your salary expectation for a Security Director role?

A tenant CEO emails the building manager (not you) demanding that a specific officer be removed from the property because he "doesn't like his attitude." The officer has no documented issues. Walk me through how you handle this.
Team motivation:
Most security officers are paid hourly and treated as interchangeable. How do you build a team that actually cares about the post they work?

In 4-6 sentences, write the email you would send to a property manager after one of your officers had a verbal altercation with a tenant in the lobby. Assume the officer was partially at fault.
