Position Summary An Unarmed Security Guard at Inter-Con Security Services is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activities, and enforcing site-specific policies to ensure a safe and secure environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Security Monitoring & Patrol Conduct routine foot or vehicle patrols of assigned areas Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access points Identify and report suspicious activity or security risks 2. Access Control Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors Control entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access Maintain visitor logs and issue badges (if required) 3. Incident Response Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances De-escalate conflicts and handle incidents professionally Contact law enforcement, emergency medical services, or supervisors when necessary 4. Reporting & Documentation Write clear and accurate daily activity reports (DARs) and incident reports Document security breaches, unusual activity, or accidents Maintain logs of patrols, inspections, and events 5. Customer Service Provide assistance, directions, and information to employees and visitors Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times Represent Inter-Con and the client in a positive manner 6. Policy Enforcement Enforce company rules, client policies, and safety regulations Ensure compliance with local laws and site-specific procedures
