Job Description
SALARY The minimum salary is $17.415 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable. Pay Grade 511 FILING

The purpose of this job is to provide 24/7 security at multiple city government buildings and maintain a secure and safe environment for all employees and visitors.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school Diploma, GED or equivalent No experience required. Security experience preferred.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages the flow of visitors entering city operated buildings to maintain security of the premises and guards against theft Monitor CCTV system for unusual activities Answers alarms and investigates disturbances Conduct walking/vehicle patrols during each shift to maintain a safe environment Circulates among visitors, patrons and employees to preserve order and protect property Assists with security in Council meetings Monitor buildings for fire, electrical, water and any other issue that may cause damage Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, theft or the presence of unauthorized persons Performs related work as assignedSPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
