Armed Security Officer

Experienced Armed Security Officer Southern Defense & Security is seeking experienced Armed Security Officers to join our team for location in Schriever LA. This is location that requires professionalism, alertness, and strong decision-making skills. This role is specifically reserved for individuals with prior Security Officer or military experience who are confident operating in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a secure presence, preventing incidents, and responding effectively to any situations that arise. Responsibilities:

Provide a visible armed security presence to deter criminal activity and ensure public safety Monitor assigned posts and surrounding areas for suspicious behavior or security risks Conduct access control, including verifying credentials and screening individuals as required Respond quickly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies Maintain situational awareness in a high-traffic, tourist-heavy environment Coordinate with local law enforcement, including , when necessary Enforce property rules, policies, and safety procedures Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs Perform foot patrols and remain alert for extended periods Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a firm and professional presence Requirements Must possess a valid Louisiana Armed Security License (or ability to obtain immediately) Strong understanding of use-of-force laws and de-escalation techniques Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations Physically capable of standing, walking, and performing patrols for extended periods Excellent situational awareness, observation, and threat assessment skills Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, detailed incident reports Must present a professional appearance and maintain a high standard of conduct at all times We offer: Healthcare benefits available Consistent, stable scheduling with a reputable and growing company Supportive leadership team with real-world law enforcement and security experience A culture built on professionalism, accountability, and respect Opportunities for advancement and leadership roles as the company continues to grow Apply today at [SdS.Security].
