AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels and completing detailed incident documentation. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may need attention. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials where required, and support site protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or after-hours access. Assist with emergency situations, medical-related calls for assistance, and/or evacuation procedures in accordance with site policies while maintaining professional interactions with occupants and guests.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
