Unarmed Security Guard

Job description: Now hiring - Pembroke, Wareham and Hyannis, MA (other surrounding areas). Signal of South Coast is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to support one of our client properties in the events and entertainment space. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment during evening to possible overnight hours. The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and capable of remaining calm and professional in high-pressure situations. This position is well-suited for individuals with prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field. Responsibilities Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to ensure site security Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures Prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism Maintain accurate and detailed activity and incident reports Professionally de-escalate conflicts and disturbances Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying security risks Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services as required Inspect security equipment and report malfunctions or concerns Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field Strong de-escalation skills with the ability to manage tense situations calmly and professionally Strong situational awareness and sound judgment Familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention practices Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available) Ability to work overnight shifts independently with minimal supervision Position Requirements Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout overnight hours Physically capable of standing, walking, and conducting patrols for extended periods Strong written and verbal communication skills Reliable transportation and consistent attendance is required Candidate must complete a CORI check Signal of South Coast is a professional, locally trusted security provider committed to safety, accountability, and community presence.
