Job Summary The Escort for Cleared Facilities is responsible for accompanying and monitoring uncleared personnel within secure or restricted areas to ensure compliance with security protocols and safeguard classified information. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of controlled environments and supporting facility security operations. Will require additional day porter duties to be performed at discretion of company and client when escorting is not required. Key Responsibilities
Escort Duties:
o Accompany NBP Visitors as directed. o Escort will be point of contact for visitors. o Ensure visitors adhere to facility security procedures and do not access unauthorized information or equipment. o Serve as a point of contact for escorted personnel, providing guidance on security requirements.
Access Control:
o Verify visitor credentials and maintain accurate logs of entry and exit. o SCIF opening/closing o EOD perimeter and suite checks for ensure locked doors. o Coordinate with security personnel to manage visitor movement within restricted zones.
Compliance & Reporting:
o Monitor activities to prevent security breaches or violations. o Work with FSO and client on VR Requests o Responsible for VAL entries though construction areas. o Report any suspicious behavior or incidents immediately to the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and client. o Must adhere to all company and government security policies. o Training on facility-specific protocols will be provided. o Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive within business park and/or assigned location(s).
Communication:
o Liaise with internal teams to schedule and manage escort assignments. o Opening and closing outages with FCC. o Work with Outage Coordinators and CMMS to create two-week look ahead calendar.
Day Porter:
o Must be willing to learn and perform janitorial tasks when not escorting o Day Porter duties may be significant portion of hours at times o Day Porter duties will be assigned throughout the business park Qualifications
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance required.
Experience:
Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to remain vigilant and professional under pressure.--- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be comfortable performing all janitorial tasks Proven experience in home & community care, hospital settings, or critical care transport is highly desirable Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required Strong understanding of patient care procedures and safety protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally Must possess a valid driver's license (if applicable for transportation duties) Ability to pass background checks and adhere to all healthcare facility policies Prior experience in hospital or critical care environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
