Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Unarmed Security Guard and become a vital part of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff alike. Your proactive presence will help deter potential threats, manage access points, and respond swiftly to incidents, all while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and vigilance. This position offers flexible hours for those eager to make a meaningful impact while balancing other commitments. Duties Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity or safety hazards Control access points by verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and staff to prevent unauthorized entry Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security of all areas Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate conflict management techniques Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and visitor entries for record-keeping purposes Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism activities Communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure swift resolution of issues Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management strategies, and emergency response procedures Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations while managing conflicts effectively Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods throughout shifts Commitment to upholding safety standards and maintaining confidentiality at all times Join us in creating a secure environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
