Job Description
Security Officer Part Time Entry Checkpoint
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen employees, visitors, and/or vendors entering the location by following established entry procedures, checking identification, and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
- Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by observing people and packages, verifying credentials, and documenting security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate communication with staff, visitors, and/or public officials.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require a security-related response
