SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Security Supervisor to support our Cannabis Security Division. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a strong sense of integrity, empathy, and confidence - someone who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about client care, safety, compliance, and team development. Your contributions will be vital in upholding our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Provides direction and guidance to subordinate Division-assigned security personnel. ⦁ Assists the Division's Director with scheduling of Division-assigned security personnel; ensuring all shifts are covered and overtime is kept to a minimum. ⦁ Collaborates with the Director of Training to ensure all Division-assigned security personnel are trained, qualified, and equipped to perform assigned duties. ⦁ Assists in ensuring all Division-assigned security personnel comply with Maryland State Police Licensing Division for Handgun Permit and Security Guard Card. ⦁ Assists with ensuring records, permits and licensing for Division-assigned security personnel is current. ⦁ Assists the Division's Director with maintaining Division-assigned security personnel's schedules in the company's automated scheduling system. ⦁ Prepares and submits to the Division's Director, accurate scheduling reports for payroll submission for billing on the 1st and 15th of every month. ⦁ Ensures shift coverage for all call outs from Division-assigned security personnel. ⦁ Is available (or makes accommodation) to be reachable 24/7 by phone for Division-assigned personnel call outs and client concerns. ⦁ Is available (or makes accommodations) to be reached 24/7 by phone for client concerns. ⦁ May assist the Division-Director with conducting interviews and hiring of potential Division-assigned security personnel hires. ⦁ Updates/maintains and manages the "On-Call" roster of all Division-assigned security personnel. ⦁ Maintains accountability for all Division-assigned security personnel's sign-in sheet logs. ⦁ Able to attend management meetings and industry events as needed. ⦁ Attends/participates in training opportunities and assists with security protocol. ⦁ Promotes safe working conditions for all. ⦁ Performs random inspections of Division-assigned security personnel during their shifts. ⦁ Provides on the job, site-specific training to Division-assigned security personnel and ensures they possess complete understanding of their roles and duties. ⦁ Ensures SOP's at all contract locations are current. ⦁ Reviews and submits reports to senior management. ⦁ Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
⦁ Associate's Degree (AA) Preferred ⦁ Minimum 3 years of Management Experience in Security or related field ⦁ Maryland Handgun Permit & Security Guard Card required ⦁ Strong organizational, communication (written, verbal and networking), and leadership skills ⦁ Excels in personnel management including selection, training, counseling and development ⦁ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and scheduling platforms ⦁ Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-stress situations ⦁ Must pass a full background investigation and drug test
WORK EXPECTATIONS
⦁ Includes administrative duties and occasional shift coverage ⦁ Promotes customer service mindset ⦁ Must be available for 24/7 on-call responsibilities ⦁ Must be a "team player"
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally ⦁ Frequent use of hands, vision, and verbal communication ⦁ Work environment ranges from low to moderate noise levels
