Security Officer

We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of our property while delivering exceptional customer service. Job Description:

The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents as needed. Your strong communication and customer service skills will help create a positive experience for guests, while your keen attention to security detail will help maintain a safe and secure atmosphere for the entire property.

Schedule:

Seasonal role (January-September) Day shifts Evening Shifts Weekends and holidays are required

Key Responsibilities:

Patrol all areas of the property to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Assist guests with room access and respond to service needs. Monitor security systems including Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. Lock property entrances and outlets as required. Conduct daily inspections to identify physical hazards. Respond to accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies by administering first aid/CPR or contacting EMS as needed. Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and communicate with management during incidents. Defuse disturbances or conflicts, contacting external assistance when necessary. Complete incident reports and document security or loss prevention related incidents. Escort unwelcome individuals from the property without disrupting operations. Report on vehicle accidents and thefts. Provide shift summaries and daily activity reports to management. Maintain confidentiality of all security and property reports/documents. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to management. Complete safety training and maintain required certifications. Perform routine equipment inspections and report defects. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields preferred. Comfortable using computers and security systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well with others and maintain positive relationships with team members. Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds (and heavier objects with assistance). Ability to move across various surfaces (sloping, uneven, slippery) and handle stairs or service ramps. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields. High school diploma or equivalent.
