Position Overview:

This opportunity is for a shopping center patrol post . As a Security Officer, you will conduct regular foot patrols to detect, deter, and report unauthorized activities. You will engage with tenants, respond to incidents and alarms, enforce site rules, and maintain detailed records using a company-issued smartphone.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct proactive foot patrols throughout the property. Respond quickly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations. Check in regularly with tenants and maintain visible presence. Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures. Complete thorough Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and maintenance requests. Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.

Requirements:

Active Maryland Guard Card (must be physically present at the time of interview) or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Prior security experience is required. Strong conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Must remain professional, calm, and composed under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow post orders precisely. Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
