As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that required an enhanced presence and personal protective services. You'll be trained by our team of highly qualified firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

Security personnel are to be certified and trained and will be assigned a variety of standing, sitting and walking posts. May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.
Job Title:
Fire Officer Level I Security Officers shall perform all security-related tasks assigned to them by the Company, including but not limited to: Monitor surveillance and information systems, including CCTV and fire alarms; Respond to breaches in security and/or safety standards, as outline in the applicable post orders; Operate TBX telephone systems; Respond to emergency calls; Dispatch security and fire personnel; Assist security and fire personnel in the field; Maintain security and other equipment and report equipment and system malfunctions; Greet, assist and direct customers, visitors, contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc.; Issue appropriate temporary badges, passes, etc.; Maintain visitor logs and other records; Patrol and monitor Site for safety concerns and suspicious activity; Report and respond to safety concerns and suspicious activity; Escort customers, visitors, contractors, vendors, suppliers, etc., as directed; Lock and unlock doors and gates; Prepare incident reports, logs and forms; Issue parking citations when required; Erect traffic control devices and handle traffic safety issues; Inspect critical equipment, machines and/or instruments as directed; Assist with testing and maintenance of fire equipment1 ; Identify and report security risks; Monitor access to facilities and secure/restricted areas; and Identify all personnel found in secure/restricted areas Level II Security Officers shall perform all security-related tasks assigned to them by the Company, including but not limited to: All duties of Level I Security Officers as identified above; Inspect fire systems and equipment; Respond to fire and hazardous material incidents; Issue hot work permits, as necessary; Respond to and address fire impairments; Participate in incident management; Monitor air quality and issue confined space permits; Fire Extinguisher checks; and Conduct confined space and machine rescue, where applicable
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Must have Firefighter 1 and 2 Certifications Must meet and maintain any applicable governmental certification requirements for Fire fighte . Ability to comply with security officer licensing and related regulations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Capable of making quick, decisive decisions in emergency situations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people and across various levels within the organization. Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment. Knowledge of card access, security, and safety systems.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to physically respond to emergency situations, including carrying out duties in stressful and high-pressure environments.
