Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this vital role, you will monitor the environment, prevent unauthorized access, and respond swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach will ensure a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets alike. This paid position offers an opportunity to serve as the frontline defender of our facilities, utilizing your keen observation skills and security expertise to maintain peace of mind. Responsibilities Patrol designated areas regularly to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee premises and identify suspicious behavior. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR if trained. Enforce safety protocols and conduct conflict management when necessary to de-escalate tense situations. Document all incidents, observations, and security breaches accurately in shift reports. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during investigations or emergencies. Skills Strong knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Certified in first aid and CPR, with the ability to provide immediate assistance when needed. Background in law enforcement, military service, or security enhances situational awareness. Excellent conflict management skills with a calm and assertive demeanor. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to protect assets effectively. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and discretion. Knowledge of security procedures, including access control systems and loss prevention methods.
