Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Security, the security officer will help maintain a safe environment for all guests and employees.

Work Performed:

• Patrol the exterior and interior of company facilities looking for safety and security issues.
• Respond to calls for security service including, but not limited to:
• Suspicious situations
• Noise complaints
• Smoking violations
• Missing and lost children
• Family troubles
• Crimes in progress
• Crime reports
• Respond to emergency situations
• Enforce company rules, regulations, and policies
• Conduct investigations and surveillance
• Document all security action in the form of case logs and/or case reports
• Testify in court
• Create positive interaction with guests and staff to promote the "community policing" philosophy
• Assist or facilitate assistance to guests who have questions, needs or concerns
• Other unspecified tasks as it relates to security and safety

Physical Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to push, pull and lift 50 pounds

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet one or more of the following:
• Prior law enforcement, military, or emergency service experience
• Prior security experience
• Possess an associates or bachelor's degree in a Criminal Justice related field
• Currently enrolled in a Criminal Justice related college curriculum.

• Must possess a high level of character, integrity and professionalism
• Ability to interact with guests on a regular basis with high customer service standards
• Ability to work in a fast pace, high stress work environment
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts (including 3rd shift)
• Must be able to pass First Aid and CPR certifications
