Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents effectively. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure the safety of the premises. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain CPR certification for emergency situations. Document incidents and prepare reports as required for management review. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when needed to ensure safety and security protocols are followed. Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; additional training in conflict management is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment is essential. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations. A background in military service or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
