COMPENSATION
$14.32 - $15.68 / hour commensurate with experience and qualifications; benefits
EXPECTED START DATE
2026-2027 School Year This position is designated for work on school days only.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree or higher preferred) 2. Ability to keep district and student work-related information confidential 3. Ability to interact with students, staff and community in a friendly, fair and consistent manner 4. Strong verbal communication skills 5. Ability to supervise student behavior and address any conflict in a positive and effective manner 6. Ability to interact with students in a manner that reinforces their feelings of security and safety within their environment 7. Ability to work inside and outside (in inclement weather) and to use a two-way communication device effectively 8. Knowledge of basic first aid procedures; ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and effective manner 9. Ability to problem-solve, think proactively and anticipate necessary actions 10. Ability to learn, apply and enforce building and District safety and emergency protocols
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are by way of illustration and not by way of limitation: 1. Take direction from building administration and the Director of Operations regarding primary duties and responsibilities 2. Comply with and enforce all procedures and policies, including FERPA 3. Continuously monitor by walking through the school, grounds, and parking lot as assigned; assist in supervising the lunch period 4. Monitor and direct vehicle traffic entering and departing school grounds 5. Keep the building administrator informed of Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct violations and other concerns 6. Provide student behavior supervision at evening events as assigned 7. Maintain a secured campus while monitoring entries, supervising the student parking and outside areas of the building, including arrival and dismissal 8. While monitoring the front entrance after doors are locked, check identification of all visitors and determine whether their entrance to the building is appropriate 9. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement at the direction of the principal 10. Provide parking lot and bus loop supervision at various times of the day 11. Notify the administration of any facility, custodial or safety concerns observed 12. Maintain regular and consistent employee attendance 13. Other duties, as assigned by the building principal or Director of Operations 14. Work independently with little or no supervision 15. Demonstrates regular and predictable in-person attendance 16. Performs other duties as assigned by the administration

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS
Duties performed typically in school settings include: classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, and playground areas. Frequent walking, standing, sitting, stooping, and lifting may be required. Other limited physical activities may be required. Occasional vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, and hazards. Daily personal close contact with students to provide behavior management in the learning environment is required. Regular contact with staff members and administrators is required. Contact with parents and medical professionals may be required. Requires frequent supervision outside during all types of seasonal weather and temperatures. This position reports to the Northville High School Principal and Director of Operations.
