Armed Security Officer

Position Overview We are seeking a professional, reliable, and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team at a large residential apartment community in Southfield, Michigan. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate has strong observational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent customer service while enforcing community policies and safety procedures.

Schedule:

Rotating Tuesday-Friday and Saturday- Tuesday. Rotation occurs first Sunday of every month

Week Days:

4:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M.

Weekends:

2:00 P.M to 2:00 A.M. Key Responsibilities Patrol the property on foot and/or in a vehicle to ensure safety and security Monitor and control access to the community Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns Enforce property rules, regulations, and policies Prepare detailed incident and activity reports Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity Deliver professional and courteous interactions with residents and visitors Requirements Must possess a valid CPL Valid driver's license with a clean driving record High school diploma or GED required Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure Must be dependable and able to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to pass drug testing Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift) Ability to patrol large areas, including stairs and uneven terrain Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds if needed Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, including running or climbing stairs Must have sufficient vision (with or without correction) to observe surroundings and read reports Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) Why Join Us?

Pay:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
