Rate of Pay:
$50,340.64•$56,633.22 No Driver's License Required. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in security, public safety, or law enforcement required. (Tribal gaming or hospitality setting preferred). Strong knowledge of emergency response planning, key/radio systems management, and NIGC internal control standards is preferred. Familiarity with tribal law enforcement and emergency coordination processes is preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid tribal gaming license is required. CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification preferred.
FEMA ICS/NIMS
Certification (ICS 100, 200, 700, 800) preferred. Training in Tribal Emergency Response or Incident Command preferred. Full understanding of all policies and internal control is required. Minimum age requirement of 21 years of age. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Operations are conducted seven days a week; 24 hours a day; and on holidays. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds is required. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling are required. Subject to inside and outside environmental weather conditions, including work in a smoking environment is required. Emergency Management & Tribal Coordination Assist in developing and updating casino-specific emergency preparedness and response plans in alignment with tribal policies and local, state, and federal guidelines. Coordinate with Tribal Emergency Management, Tribal Police, Fire, EMS, and external agencies to ensure integrated emergency response strategies. Lead and document emergency drills and table-top exercises, promoting readiness and compliance with the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and tribal gaming regulatory authority (TGRA) requirements. Act as a first responder and incident leader in emergencies until relieved by senior or tribal authorities. Security Officer Training & Supervision Design and deliver culturally aware, comprehensive training programs for security officers, covering security protocols, emergency response, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Supervise day-to-day security operations, including shift coverage, patrol assignments, and incident response. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and progressive discipline in accordance with tribal human resources policies. Ensure officers are well-versed in tribal sovereignty, guest relations, and situational de-escalation. Internal Controls & Systems Oversight Manage and document a strict key control program, including issuance, returns, lost key reports, and secure storage — in accordance with internal controls and
TGRA/NIGC
standards. Maintain and oversee the radio communications system, ensuring all units are tracked, operational, and compliant with tribal communication protocols. Conduct internal security reviews and audits of control systems, reporting any irregularities or non-compliance to the Security Manager and compliance teams. Collaborate with Surveillance and Compliance departments on investigations. Other Must attend all mandatory department training courses. Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
