Overnight Security Guard (Temp)

This is a temporary, seasonal position. Position Overview The Security Guard flex position has a primary focus on the outdoor grow. This position is seasonal. After the outdoor grow is harvested, department leadership will evaluate employment. The Security Guard is responsible for the safety and security operations of a highly regulated cannabis environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and guests while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies while at the outdoor grow. The Security Guard will report directly to their Security Lead and the Security Supervisor. All candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and obtain a Registered Marijuana Establishment Agent Card issued by the Tribal Medical Cannabis Commission. Industry-specific training will be provided.

Work Schedule Rotating schedule:

2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on / 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off 12 - hour shifts Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the Security Lead(s) and Security Supervisor in matters related to security operations and employee conduct Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures Maintain both perimeter and internal facility security Conduct routine patrols and security checks throughout assigned shifts Verify identification of all visitors entering the property Monitor access and exit points across the property Investigate incidents including disturbances, unauthorized entry, fire hazards, or property damage Report trespassing incidents and suspicious activities promptly to authorities Prepare and submit detailed incident reports Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services as needed Serve as the primary emergency response contact for first responders Provide assistance to individuals as necessary Maintain cleanliness and safety of entrances, gates, and surrounding areas (including snow and debris removal) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communication Skills Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and policy manuals Ability to write clear and accurate reports and correspondence Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and external agencies Problem-Solving & Reasoning Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply practical judgment Ability to address routine issues with sound decision-making in structured situations Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Valid driver's license Must pass all required background checks and maintain eligibility throughout employment Must meet all licensing requirements of the Tribal Medical Cannabis Commission Must remain compliant with all regulatory standards for employment Ability to work in a drug-free workplace; pre-employment and random testing may be required
