Job Description
River Hills Mall is seeking reliable, professional, and trustworthy Part-Time Mall Safety Security Officers to join our security team. Our mall operates 24/7 security coverage , with one or more officers on site at all times to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and tenants. This opening will cover two Over Night shifts and various evening shifts. MUST be available weekends. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of mall property Monitor premises to detect and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches Respond calmly and effectively to alarms and emergency situations Assist customers, tenants, and mall employees with questions or concerns Escort individuals to safety during emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire, or medical services when necessary Enforce mall rules and code of conduct, including removing individuals when required Maintain a high-visibility security presence by wearing the provided uniform Work collaboratively with other officers and management Complete detailed shift and incident reports Perform all duties with integrity, professionalism, and excellent customer service Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Open availability, including weekends and holidays Previous security experience preferred Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Strong observation and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Knowledge of safety and emergency response protocols Valid driver's license If you're dependable, alert, and committed to maintaining a safe environment, we encourage you to apply and become part of the River Hills Mall security team.
