As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. Your role is vital in preventing loss, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing a secure atmosphere for everyone on site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your security expertise, law enforcement knowledge, and first aid skills to make a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities Monitor all areas of the facility to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including entrances, exits, parking lots, and sensitive zones to ensure safety and security. Authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying identification and issuing passes as needed. Respond promptly to incidents or alarms by assessing situations accurately and taking appropriate action to de-escalate conflicts or secure the environment. Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations while coordinating with local emergency responders when necessary. Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, visitor entries/exits, and surveillance footage for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to ensure proper protocol is followed. Conduct loss prevention activities by identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventative measures. Manage conflict situations professionally with strong conflict management skills to resolve issues amicably while maintaining safety. Qualifications Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Knowledge of CCTV systems, loss prevention strategies, and conflict management practices. Background in military service or law enforcement is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert during shifts; physically capable of patrolling large areas on foot. Strong communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency responders. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and decisively while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
