Job Description

Security Guard Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Security Director, this individual will act primarily as a security officer. Security services will be provided on the main hospital campus and five satellite buildings seven days a week, and 365 days a year. This individual will provide building security as well as security for our patients, visitors, and employees. At times, this individual may be required to provide direct visualization of patients while under the direction of the team leader. Functions within the goals of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, HIPAA regulations and will be accountable for, but not limited to, performance improvement activities, infection control guidelines and safety measures. All of these services are performed with concern and safety, comfort and quality of care in mind for the patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Ability to take responsibility for oneself and a professional role, maintain positive interactions with other members of the healthcare team, ability to observe, record and communicate pertinent information to other staff members, ability to provide patient sitter-related tasks effectively under the direction of the RN/Team Leader, oral and written communication is clear and concise. Verbal and non-verbal communication is done with dignity, the ability to recognize, collect and report pertinent data to licensed staff or team leader, organize assigned patient care activities and other tasks for an assigned shift and complete work on time. The ability to change and adapt to changing work demands, serve as a role model to develop others under the direction of the preceptors.
Education/Credentials:
High School or equivalent (GED) Lifeguard training BLS(preferred) Why Join Us?
