Personal Responsibilities Be committed to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Peter 2:2) by assembling for instruction in God's Word and engaging in the personal study of God's Word. Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life (1 Peter 5:1-4). Participate in an Abundant Life group (Acts 2:41-42) as well as the discipleship ministry (Matthew 28:18-20). Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9). Be committed to the ministry of giving to the needs of the saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-7 and 9:12) and to seek to abound in this ministry (2 Corinthians 8:7). Become a member of Abundant Life Church. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Help to implement safety and security standards and procedures for all events across all locations of Abundant Life. Assist in directing current local security contractors to plan ministry events. Help to maintain relationships with local Police and Fire Departments, or any other agency that relates to safety and security. Assist in providing training to Abundant Life staff and volunteers in the areas of workplace violence prevention, personal safety, severe weather, active shooter response, and any other applicable subjects. Direct resources and equipment proactively to monitor and protect church property. Comply with all statutes and regulations of state, local, and federal law enforcement. Recruit and help lead volunteer security teams. Recruit and lead crisis management response teams. Coordinate with the Security Director regarding Lead Pastor personal protection on-site as well as when traveling. Continually monitor all property across Abundant Life campuses. This position will help to monitor and maintain all websites and apps utilized by the Abundant Life Security Team. Other duties as reasonably assigned. Experience (minimum requirement) 5 years of federal, military, local law enforcement experience, or extensive experience in Security/Crisis Management is preferred but not required. A college degree is preferred but not required. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift up-to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, ability to adjust and focus. This job could also require anywhere from 1-2 hours to entire workdays of being seated in a vehicle.
