Job Description

Overview:
Responsible for oversight of overnight emergency shelter.
Schedule:
9 PM Friday to 7 AM Saturday every week
Responsibilities:
Conduct intake /admission screening, and placement of patrons. Distribute bedding supplies to patrons. Monitor, maintain and enforce The Rolla Mission policies. Assist in maintaining overall appearance, cleanliness and safety conditions in the shelter area. Report property maintenance needs or property safety/security concerns to the executive director. Monitor and document patron incidents. Responsible for ensuring every patron registers and checks in on the system. Supervise patrons to ensure The Rolla Mission culture and safety standards are upheld. Conduct security rounds. Provide conflict resolution Maintain patron bag check-in closet and lockers by ensuring all belongings are bagged and properly tagged.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS
High School Diploma or equivalent. CIT Certification Preferred
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
Experience working with low income and minority populations or life experience will be evaluated to determine job suitability. Prior office experience and operation of computer helpful. Experience in security preferred.

Ability to document and write effectively Ability to maintain professional standards in the administration of duties and relationships with clients. Maturity to maintain the confidentiality of client information. Exemplify a compassionate/caring attitude through personal attitude and conduct. Ability to relate to people. Demonstrated ability to be non-judgmental in approach, allowing clients their right to self-determination, and treat all with dignity and respect. Must be able to physically perform duties of the monitor/security position. The job includes sitting, walking, standing, stretching/reaching/climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acquit to provide oversight.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
