Competitive pay based on experience Position Overview Shield Defense Agency is seeking professional, dependable, and compassionate Security Agents to provide safety and security services at a confidential residential facility serving individuals in transitional living situations. This role requires strong situational awareness, emotional intelligence, and the ability to maintain a calm and professional presence in sensitive environments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement environments and possess strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills. Responsibilities Monitor facility access and ensure only authorized individuals enter the property Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, emergencies, or policy violations Utilize de-escalation tactics to calmly and professionally manage conflicts or heightened situations Complete detailed incident and activity reports Maintain communication with staff and leadership throughout shifts Enforce site policies and procedures while treating all individuals with dignity and respect Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary Maintain a professional and visible security presence at all times Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 1 year of security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or related experience required Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred Strong communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills required Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions Professional appearance and demeanor required Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Preferred Experience Experience working in residential, behavioral health, social service, or high-interaction environments Crisis intervention experience Report writing and incident documentation experience Prior armed or unarmed security experience Schedule Availability Currently hiring for: Day Shift Evening Shift Overnight Shift Weekend availability preferred Why Join Shield Defense Agency?
