Job Summary Join our team as an Unarmed Security Guard and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment in an upscale condominium building. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and vigilant presence will help prevent incidents and respond effectively to any security concerns. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a secure community while developing valuable skills in security operations. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify potential security threats. Control access points by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas. Conduct regular patrols of the property to observe for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized access. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established protocols and communicating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Enforce loss prevention policies by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action when needed. Assist with conflict management by calmly de-escalating tense situations and providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff. Requirements Proven ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor. Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience in monitoring security footage. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully. Basic first aid certification and CPR training are highly desirable to respond effectively in medical emergencies. Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols is preferred.
