AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing individuals to appropriate departments or resources. Support healthcare operations by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy-related issues, and by assisting with de-escalation when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements. Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
